Baby Tongue or Lip Tie Is Not Your Fault

I cannot even tell you the amount of mothers who blame themselves for not knowing that their baby's lip or tongue tie was the cause of their difficulty with latching, or that it was a contributing factor to the decay that they see on their toddler's front teeth.

Here's a secret for you - I didn't know for YEARS that this was the cause of my own two boys trouble with latching. And I now release tongue and lip ties as part of my profession.

It's so important to remember that we don't purposely not learn information that could have helped us or our children - that's silly. We're all learning along the way, and we cannot blame ourselves. We cannot say, "if I had just done more research, I might have known". How can that be true when you didn't know what to look for?

This is a reminder that you are doing the BEST YOU CAN.
