NO GUILT TREATS - EXPECTATION VS REALITY
While eating well and minimizing sugar are excellent standards to hold. I am a strong believer that it is possible to eat well and be delighted by what you eat.
Okay, okay, these egg and gluten free cookies I just made DEFINITELY don’t look like the picture - but they taste just as delicious!! 🍪
While we definitely do have some food intolerances in our house (both my kids are allergic to all nuts! 😞), we also try to decrease cooking with wheat as much as possible.
There are so many options these days for gluten free, so I don’t see any reason NOT to opt to exclude gluten in my recipes when I can. I also use a lot of coconut oil, which is incredible for you.
I’m a huge believer in balance. So while yes, I’m using a bunch of super healthy ingredients, I’m also using chocolate chips, which of course my kids love!
I’d rather try and make treats at home than buy store bought - when I have time, of course. 😉
